And Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “You lack one thing: go, sell all that you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.” Mark 10:21.

“So therefore, any one of you who does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple.” Luke 14:33.

And calling the crowd to him with his disciples, he said to them, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.” Mark 8:34.

Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it. Matthew 10:39.

Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Matthew 10:38.

“Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.” Matthew 10:37.
