And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28.

I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. John 10:11.

We love because he first loved us. 1 John 4:19.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16.

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. I John 3:1.

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8.
