Blessed is the land whose king is of noble birth and whose princes eat at a proper time — for strength and not for drunkenness. Through laziness, the rafters sag; because of idle hands, the house leaks. A feast is made for laughter, wine makes life merry, and money is the answer for everything. Ecclesiastes 10:17-19.

She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Proverbs 31:27.

Laziness brings on deep sleep, and the shiftless go hungry. Proverbs 19:15.

Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:15-16.

Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Psalms 90:12.
