He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, Titus 3:5.

Because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment. James 2:13.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. Romans 3:23-24.

Know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. Galatians 2:16.
